Dear Slug, Salt Lake City and Fans
I am not even sure how many care, or were even aware, but Slug Magazine, A Salt Lake City Publication, took the time to highlight us in their September issue! We are grateful to this highlight and are happy to be associated with Utah Music.
READ THE ARTICLE HERE:
We meet a lot of people around in other cities, bands or the music biz that don’t really understand the cool and unique art and music culture in Utah, specifically Salt Lake and Provo. There isn’t a show or band related conversation that goes by that we don’t end up defending or talking up the lovely deseret.
And so in turn, we thank Slug Magazine most currently, but also City Weekly, The Daily Universe, IN Utah This Week, Salt Lake Magazine and The Daily Herald for the support of our band in the past and the plugs, spotlights and accolades these publications have provided to us and other bands and choice scenes in the Art and Music culture of Salt Lake City and Provo!
So what I am getting at is, Slug has provided a Spotlight night this week at Urban Lounge for us, I AM THE and TO THE DEATH. We are two states away recording and creating our debut record, and thought we’d be done by now, but still are in the thick of it, and therefore aren’t able to make it back to Salt Lake in time for the show.
We want to formally apologize to the employees and staff of Slug, namely Jeanette, Nick and Kate, who we corresponded with during the creation of the article and event.
We have no doubt that there has been hours and time put in and we in no way mean to undermine or devalue their work by our absence! We tried to rearrange schedules to make the trip, but alas won’t be able to.
The show is THIS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18TH.
IT IS AT URBAN LOUNGE IN SLC.
ALTHOUGH WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO PLAY, WE HOPE THAT PEOPLE WILL ATTEND, IT IS SURE TO BE A RAD NIGHT IN SALT LAKE REGARDLESS.
Thank You To Slug Magazine again for the spotlight and page space that you gave us in your publication, and we hope that the show is a success and regard the article as promotion to the fans and readers in Utah, whom we admire and claim as are home fans and friends.
Thanks and Read SLUG!
